Can customers mention the specific job in their review?
They usually do, because the request references it. That matters — reviews that name a service help you surface for that service. We never write the review or tell the customer what to say.
I subcontract to builders. Should I be asking those clients?
Builders rarely leave Google reviews and are not really your buying audience anyway. Focus requests on direct residential and small commercial customers. You choose which jobs trigger a request.
Do you handle both the business and the individual sparkies?
Reviews land on your business profile — that is the one that ranks. But the request comes from the individual who did the work, which is what makes people respond. Best of both.
Do I need a CRM or job management software?

Is this legal under Australian spam laws?
Yes, and we take it seriously. Under the Spam Act 2003 you need consent, accurate sender identification and a working unsubscribe. Your customers have an existing business relationship with you, every message clearly identifies your business, and replying STOP unsubscribes them instantly and permanently across all future messages. We will not send to a purchased list.
Does this breach Google’s review policies?
No. Google prohibits incentivised reviews, fake reviews and review gating. We do none of those. Google explicitly permits asking your customers for honest reviews — it is in their own Business Profile guidance. We ask every eligible customer the same way and we never filter by expected sentiment.
