Google review automation for Australian plumbers
Emergency plumbing is the most review-dependent trade in Australia. When a hot water system fails on a Sunday night, nobody asks their neighbour — they search “emergency plumber near me”, look at the map pack, and ring the first business with a lot of recent 5-star reviews. That is the whole decision.
After: hot water system replacement

Typical volume
60–120 jobs per month
If you run a plumbing business, this will sound familiar
- You do 80 jobs a month and get maybe two reviews a year
- Your competitor two suburbs over has 340 reviews and you have 19
- Emergency callouts are your best work and your least-reviewed work
- Asking face-to-face feels awkward when you have just handed over a $1,400 invoice
- The apprentice always forgets to ask, and honestly, so do you
Why this works for plumbers specifically
Plumbing customers are relieved when you leave. The problem that was ruining their week is fixed. That relief is the highest-conversion emotional window you will ever get, and it lasts about twenty minutes before life resumes. Ask then and a large share of people say yes. Ask three days later in a generic email and almost nobody does.
How customers in your trade actually search
Plumbing searches are urgent and high-intent. “Blocked drain”, “burst pipe”, “hot water not working” — these are people who will call within four minutes of searching. Ranking in the map pack for those terms is worth more than any other marketing you do, and review volume plus recency is one of the strongest signals you actually control.

Busy month? Add more requests
$1 per requestTop up Essential or Professional in blocks of 110 — Dominate is already unlimited. No markup for buying small, and we'll warn you before you hit your limit rather than letting you find out the hard way.
Top-ups don't roll over. Your allowance resets each billing month and anything unused expires. If you're finishing every month with plenty left, tell us — we'll move you down a plan.
The 30-Day Review Guarantee
Send at least 20 eligible customers through the system in your first 30 days. If you don't receive at least 3 new genuine Google reviews in that time, we refund your first month in full.
No retention call, no "let us try one more thing", no partial credit. You email us, we refund you. We've written the full terms in plain English rather than burying them.
What "eligible" means
- A real customer you actually served in the period
- A valid Australian mobile number or email address
- Not previously asked and not on your suppression list
- Consent captured in line with the Spam Act
We ask for 20 because below that the sample is too small for anyone to draw a fair conclusion — including you.
Plumbers — your questions
Industry-specific answers first, then the ones everyone asks.
My apprentices do half the jobs. Can requests go out under their name?
Yes, and they should. Add every team member during onboarding — apprentices included — and pick who did the work when you send. Customers remember the person, not the business name.
A lot of my work is emergency callouts at 2am. Does it still send then?
We hold overnight requests and release them at a sensible hour the next morning. Nobody wants a review request at 3am, and sending one makes you look automated. Quiet hours are set during onboarding.
I do commercial and strata work, not just residential. Does that work?
Yes, though conversion is lower on commercial because the person who signs off is often not the person who felt the relief. Many commercial plumbers run us on their residential and strata callouts only. You control which jobs trigger a request.
Do I need a CRM or job management software?
No. Most of our clients run on a phone and a notepad. We give you a Job Complete link you save to your home screen — type the customer’s name and mobile, pick who did the work, hit send. Ten seconds. If you do use ServiceM8, Simpro, Fergus, AroFlo, Tradify or Xero, we can connect it so requests fire automatically when you mark a job complete.
How fast can I be live?
Within one business day of you completing onboarding. We need your business name, your Google Business Profile link, and the first names of your team. We write and test your message templates, send you a live test to your own phone, and switch you on once you approve it.
How does the 30-Day Review Guarantee work?
Send at least 20 eligible customers through the system in your first 30 days. If you do not receive at least 3 new genuine Google reviews in that period, we refund your first month in full. No arguing, no retention call. The full terms are on our Guarantee page and we have deliberately written them in plain English.
Is this legal under Australian spam laws?
Yes, and we take it seriously. Under the Spam Act 2003 you need consent, accurate sender identification and a working unsubscribe. Your customers have an existing business relationship with you, every message clearly identifies your business, and replying STOP unsubscribes them instantly and permanently across all future messages. We will not send to a purchased list.
Does this breach Google’s review policies?
No. Google prohibits incentivised reviews, fake reviews and review gating. We do none of those. Google explicitly permits asking your customers for honest reviews — it is in their own Business Profile guidance. We ask every eligible customer the same way and we never filter by expected sentiment.
